For Founders Terms
Last updated: October 14, 2026
These For Founders Terms are the service description for For Founders, a Packaged Service under Section 1.10 of the Honeyjar Terms of Service, and they supplement and form part of the Terms of Service. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Terms of Service.
1. What is included. For Founders is a one-time Packaged Service under Section 1.10 of the Terms of Service. The For Founders fee includes (a) the services in Section 2 and (b) a single-seat Honeyjar Pro Subscription for 12 months from the date of purchase (the “Included Subscription”). The Included Subscription does not renew automatically, and no charge is made at the end of the 12 months; Customer may purchase a standard Subscription at then-current pricing when it ends. Sections 1.1, 3.2 and 3.3 of the Terms of Service (term, automatic renewal, and no refunds) do not apply to the Included Subscription’s term, renewal, or the refund in Section 4. Additional seats may be added at any time under the Terms of Service. If Customer already has an active Subscription, the Included Subscription is applied as a 12-month extension of that Subscription’s current term for one seat; on a refund under Section 4 the extension is removed.
2. Included services. For Founders includes: (a) a 30-minute strategy session with a Honeyjar communications professional to define Customer’s story and target coverage; (b) a pitch period of approximately one week after the strategy session, during which Honeyjar identifies relevant journalists, drafts pitches in Customer’s voice, and, with Customer’s approval of the pitch and target list given at or after the strategy session, sends those pitches on Customer’s behalf and manages journalist replies; (c) a 30-minute interview prep session before Customer’s first resulting interview or, if no interview is scheduled, at the end of the pitch period; and (d) the materials Honeyjar prepares for the above in Customer’s Workspace. It does not include additional pitch periods, ongoing representation, paid placement, advertising, or events, each of which may be purchased separately.
3. Scheduling. The strategy session must be booked and held within 30 days of purchase. If Honeyjar does not offer a session time within those 30 days, the deadline extends to the first time Honeyjar offers. Customer must approve the pitch and target list within 14 days after the strategy session; if Customer does not, the pitch period and the interview prep session expire on that date. The pitch period begins when Customer approves the pitch and target list and ends when Honeyjar notifies Customer in writing that it has ended, and in any case no later than 15 business days after it begins unless Honeyjar notifies Customer of an extension. The interview prep session must be held within 30 days after the pitch period ends. Unused sessions and services expire at those deadlines and do not carry forward; the Included Subscription is not affected. Rescheduling does not extend a deadline.
4. Fee and refunds. The For Founders fee is the amount shown at checkout and is charged at purchase. (a) Before the strategy session begins and before its deadline in Section 3, Customer may cancel for a full refund, subject to Section 5. (b) After the strategy session, if Customer is not satisfied with For Founders for any reason, Customer may request a full refund of the For Founders fee by written notice to info@honeyjar.ai at any time after the strategy session and no later than 14 days after the interview prep session is held or its deadline in Section 3 passes, whichever is first, and in all cases no later than 120 days after purchase. On a refund under this Section 4, the Included Subscription ends on the date of the refund and Workspace access ends with it; Customer may export its Customer Content before that date, other than journalist contact data and target lists sourced by Honeyjar, which remain Platform Data. (c) A For Founders that expires under Section 3 without a strategy session is not refundable. (d) A strategy session treated as used under Section 5 is deemed held and begun for purposes of Sections 3 and 4. (e) Honeyjar may decline to proceed after the strategy session if it concludes in good faith that Customer’s story is not ready for media outreach; in that case Honeyjar refunds the full fee and the Included Subscription ends.
5. Rescheduling and missed sessions. Customer may reschedule the strategy session or interview prep session without charge by providing at least 24 hours’ notice, subject to availability and the deadlines in Section 3. A cancellation with less than 24 hours’ notice or failure to attend a scheduled session may be treated as use of that session.
6. Workspace access. Customer authorizes Honeyjar to grant designated Honeyjar personnel administrator access to Customer’s Workspace as reasonably necessary to perform For Founders, and to send approved pitches from a Honeyjar-controlled email address identifying Honeyjar as Customer’s communications partner. Honeyjar will identify to Customer the personnel granted such access. Access will be logged, may be revoked by Customer at any time through Workspace settings or by request to info@honeyjar.ai, and will end no later than 30 days after completion or termination of For Founders unless extended by mutual written agreement. For Founders services are complete when the interview prep session is held or its deadline passes, whichever comes first. The Included Subscription continues after completion. Access is limited to Workspace content and does not include an individual member’s private connected Gmail, Slack, calendar, chat history, or other connected-source data.
7. Recording. For Founders sessions are recorded and transcribed. Honeyjar processes the recordings and transcripts through the Services, including AI Services, to prepare Customer’s materials. Honeyjar will give notice of recording at the start of each session. A participant who does not consent to recording should say so at that time, and Honeyjar will take notes instead.
8. Customer cooperation. Customer will provide timely, accurate, and complete information, instructions, feedback, and approvals reasonably necessary to perform For Founders. Honeyjar may rely on information supplied or approved by Customer without independently verifying it. Customer delays do not extend the deadlines in Section 3 unless Honeyjar agrees in writing.
9. Approval and outreach. Pitches, target lists, and other outreach materials are prepared by Honeyjar and approved by Customer at or after the strategy session. Customer’s approval of a pitch and target list is its prior affirmative approval, under Section 4.8 of the Terms of Service, of each send, follow-up, and reply to the approved targets during the pitch period, and this Section 9 controls over Section 4.8 for For Founders. Honeyjar will not send a materially changed pitch, add a target outside the approved list, or make a factual claim not supplied or approved by Customer without Customer’s further approval. Honeyjar will record in Customer’s Workspace the pitches sent, the targets contacted, and journalist replies received. Customer remains responsible for the accuracy of information it supplies and for what it says in any interview.
10. Placement commitment. Honeyjar will pitch Customer's story to secure at least one earned-media placement, meaning an article, interview, podcast, broadcast segment, or newsletter mention that names Customer or its company. If Customer does not receive a placement, or is otherwise not satisfied, Customer's remedy is the full refund in Section 4, which is Customer's sole and exclusive remedy. Honeyjar does not guarantee any particular outlet, timing, prominence, or tone of coverage, or any audience response, reputation, or commercial result. Customer is responsible for factual verification, claim substantiation, legal and regulatory review, and obtaining any required permissions, consents, or releases.
11. Ownership. Customer-provided materials and For Founders deliverables stored in the Workspace are Customer Content under the Terms of Service. Honeyjar retains ownership of its pre-existing materials, templates, methodologies, technology, and general know-how.
12. Terms of Service. The indemnification, disclaimers, exclusions of damages, limitation of liability, and other risk-allocation provisions in the Terms of Service apply to For Founders, its deliverables, Customer’s use of them, and the Honeyjar personnel providing For Founders.
13. Conflicts. If these For Founders Terms conflict with the Terms of Service regarding For Founders, these For Founders Terms control. The Terms of Service otherwise remain in effect.
